Which came first - the Chicken or the Egg?

Where did it start?

Administrative duties like typing, talking on the phone and writing notes, prepping meals for my family, hobbies like sewing, basically anything you do with your arms extended out front and hands doing simple repetitive daily tasks.

Was it the activity that triggered the headache?  Or was it something from my environment like heat, sunlight, fireworks, the aroma of incense used at my church, or even my hormones?????

Over time the headaches increased in intensity, severity and the tension and pain in my neck and across the tops of my shoulders was exhausting.

 Identify the problem

It's easier said than done.  But sometimes identifying the problem doesn't result in finding the complete answer but at least finding some comfort and respite from pain does go along way in getting your day to day life back in an enjoyable rhythm.

Solution

For me - it was a combination of resolutions.  Cervical fusion on two levels made a huge difference with the severity and frequency of headaches, not to mention the mobility benefits of being able to do tasks relatively pain free.  Thank you to Dr. Miles with Columbia Orthopedic Group.
