    How To Use An Eye Pillow

    Eye pillows are a great way to add a little pressure to the area around your eyes, allow you to rest and lower your heart rate and reset from the stress of everyday life. You can use it anytime including when you lay down to sleep, during yoga when you are feeling anxious, stressed or depressed.  

    About Omni Spring Eye Pillows

    Your eye pillow from Omni Spring is filled with flaxseed and can be unscented or include essential oils for aromatherapy. 

    Omni-Spring Pillows are made with 100% high-grade cotton fabric.  Eye Pillows are filled with organic, natural, golden flax seed harvested from farms in the northern region of the United States. 

    Our pillows can be customized by infusing the flaxseed with our unique blend of essential oils and natural dried herbs.  And of course, unscented is always available for those with sensitivity or allergies.

    Preparing Your Eye Pillow

    Before using your eye pillow be sure to prepare it. It can be chilled in the freezer or heated in the microwave, so before using it be sure to prepare it. 

    Heat in the microwave for 30-second intervals (microwaves may vary – test heat in 15-30-second intervals until the desired temperature is achieved – generally 30 seconds) or place in the freezer.  When placing it in the freezer put the eye pillow in a plastic bag so it does not absorb freezer odors.  A reusable food-grade bag is included with your purchase. *Duration length of warmth or coolness may vary depending on ambient temperature conditions.

    Using Your Eye Pillow

    Once you have your eye pillow ready pick a nice relaxing place away from bright lights or loud noises. Relax in a reclined or seated position. Place your heated or chilled eye pillow over your eyes. Try to clear your mind and begin to inhale and exhale with deep breaths which will lower your heart rate. As you relax begin to feel the gentle pressure the eye pillow provides on the eyes and if you have the aromatherapy pillows begin to take in the various scents in your pillow.

    Rest with your eye pillow for at least 10 minutes to feel revitalized and rejuvenated. If you doze off and fall asleep, it’s okay, it just means you needed a little rest.
